NHS plans free pharmacy cholesterol checks across England

The NHS in England plans to offer free seven-minute finger-prick cholesterol tests at participating pharmacies, starting with about 100 sites this autumn. Eligible adults aged 40 to 84 will receive immediate results, a blood-pressure check and a pharmacist consultation that can include lifestyle advice or consideration of treatment.
