THK University to Provide Drone Training for Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry

THK University, under the leadership of Rector Prof. Dr. Rahmi Er, has announced a partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to provide training on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones. This initiative aims to contribute to the "National Agricultural Movement" by integrating advanced technology into agricultural practices.

Prof. Dr. Er emphasized the transformative potential of emerging technologies in agriculture. He stated that drones are becoming increasingly critical in various stages of agricultural production, and comprehensive training programs are being organized to ensure their effective use.

The university aims to leverage its extensive academic and technical expertise to support the strategic sectors of the country. Prof. Dr. Er expressed pride in collaborating to align Turkey's agricultural vision with aviation and high technology, marking a significant milestone in this partnership.

The training programs will be meticulously planned and managed by a technical commission that combines the expertise of both institutions. This commission will include leaders from the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform, the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM), and the General Directorate of Food and Control (GKGM), alongside university academics. The goal is to enhance the technological competencies of public personnel involved in agriculture.

Prof. Dr. Er noted that while the program is planned for one year, the knowledge and technology generated will create lasting benefits that the Ministry can utilize for many years beyond the protocol's duration. He expressed hope that this collaboration will be fruitful for Turkey's agricultural and aviation sectors.
