Bruin, a four-year-old Clumber Spaniel, has been awarded the Best in Show title at the renowned Crufts dog show held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham. His owner, Lee Cox, expressed immense pride, describing Bruin as 'a dog of a lifetime' during the exciting event that concluded on March 8, 2026.
The competition attracted approximately 18,600 dogs from across the UK and beyond, highlighting the global appeal of this prestigious event. Bruin's victory was celebrated with enthusiastic cheers from the audience, marking a significant achievement for both the dog and his owner.
Cox shared his astonishment at the win, stating, 'It’s just amazing. I can’t believe it. It’s just wonderful for this breed.' He described Bruin's personality as a blend of calmness and a touch of diva-like charm, emphasizing the strong bond they share.
The Best in Show title is awarded by expert judges who assess the winning dogs from various group categories, including working, pastoral, terrier, hound, toy, utility, and gundog. Bruin triumphed over a diverse lineup of competitors, including Meghan, a Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen, who took the reserve Best in Show title.
